The Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Agbotomokekere, has said that the Ramadan 1441 (2020) ended yesterday Friday 22-01-2020.

Though the Imam did not state reason for concluding that fasting ended yesterday.

Agbotomokekere who made the post on his Facebook account last night said:

“Eid Fitr: As Ramadan complete today Friday 22nd of May 2020 equivalent to Yaoma Jumuah 30th of Ramadan 1441 tomorrow Saturday 23rd of May 2020 is Shawal 1st 1441.” (Sic)

A top Muslim who confirmed Agbotomokekere’s statement said that they won’t join him in ending the fast.
